On the front pages of Portland’s newspapers today is the face of a young man who pulled another school shooting.  As I reported for my other blog www.patricio2ahora.wordpress.com, ever since Colombine high school, 100 percent of the incidents of school shooting have these kids on a specific class of anti-depressant drugs called SSRI’s.  SSRI drugs actually list homocidal behaviour as a side effect.  Both of the Colombine high school shooters were on SSRI drugs, although the media reported at the time only one.  The other boy actually approached his friends’ mother and asked her to help him get off the medication because he thought he might be addicted.  Often the disasters happen when SSRI drugs are stopped abruptly, I know in my case my life became a train wreck after stopping them abruptly on my own.  The woman who invented these drugs later admitted, “I’ve created monsters.”  It’s time to look at the SSRI drugs like prosak and zoloft and ask if the incidents of massacres are worth keeping these drugs on the market.  It’s also time for people to stop ignoring the correlations.

Important notes

In my past blog, I sometimes unwittingly allowed it to become a vehicle for saying negative things about people who were around the periphery of my life, both in and around my political work as well as relationally.  I realize now that this was a mistake and while not gossip per-se still not good.  The purpose of that blog, however, according to my first post, was too learn by experience.  There is a link to that previous blog on this website.  While I feel public figures and ideologies are fair game, I slowly have  come to realize that it is pretty much never okay to say negative things about other (particular) people behind their backs.  I don’t want the energy that I know that kind of chatter bring.  I know people who engage in this activity every time I see them and it makes me uncomfortable.  I know people who never do this and I enjoy being around them.  May we all strive never to say anything negative about are friends and acquaintances behind their backs or to their face.  ———————-Reading the bible can be dangerous.  This may shock many people who have been brought up with the idea of solo-scriptura.  But there is a set interpretation and people without the proper understanding can only too easily pervert its understanding.  So much too is lost in translation.  In the original languages the words priests, liturgy, tradition, sacraments and eucharist are all present yet they are translatered differently in English. We would laugh at the account of the Chinese missionaries who beat their little children in the process of misunderstanding Christ’s injunction to suffer the little children to come unto Him.  We might think that  we were somehow above that and englightened.  But are we really?  America is a very religious country.  In American and England they circumsize the male children.  There is no good health reason for doing this and cannot even be explained in terms of healthism.  Europeans, Latin Americans and Orthodox countries do not circumsize their males.  In Eastern Europe or Russia, I am told, that if a man is circumsized it means he is Muslim or Turkish, or worse…Jewish.  I can only think that Americans and English do this because they read too much of the old testiment literally.   It is very interesting that Protestants follow the old covenant in respect of circumcision while totally ignoring the new covenant which calls for the baptisizing of infants.  It shows, maybe more than anything else, a misunderstanding of the relationship between the Old and New Testiments and the Jewish faith verses the Christian faith, things that should have been settled for all Christians in the 4th century—and pretty much were settled until the Protestant reformation. ————————–American women say they prefer uncircumsized men better.  In some parts of Africa where they practice female circumcision it is rightly called barbaric.  But somehow justified for the men in the United States.  The part of the penus that is cut-off is rich in nerve endings.  After the procedure the infants refuse to nurse and, if they do, won’t look their mothers in the eyes.  During the procedure the infants always screem.  The idea that at the young age they don’t feel what is happening is now comprehensively discredited.  Real sex education in the schools is yet to occur while most books about sex in bookstores are dirty.  This means that as an adult one is forced to sort through a maze of misinformation.  Coming to terms with these realities, however, is important because an environment of ignorence can foster harmful behavior.  I am calling out the unnecessary and Jewish practice of circumcision as a fraud.  80% of the world’s men are uncircumsized and completely healthy.  The Orthodox church, as well as the Catholic church, do not teach circumcision and neither do alternative health practitioners.  This barbaric procedure needs to be brought to the light by health journalists.  In short, circumcision needs to stop.
